Front Row at Amsterdam Fashion Week

 

 

 

 Good evening! I already told you about the promising Dutch designer Sepehr Maghsoudi and about my invitation for his Fashion Show last week. And I can tell you if you weren’t there you defiantly missed something! It was really amazing, everything was good arranged and the location was just perfect! It was in the Art’Otel in Amsterdam and wow what a beautiful luxurious hotel. I took my friend Joyce with me to the fashion show and we had the best night! We had a dinner with Nina in a cozy restaurant near the Art’Otel but we had to hurry to the fashion show because it started at 8am.

Sepehr Maghsoudi creations where prodigious! All depended upon entering there was a good atmosphere and there was a lot of press present. When the first model came down the catwalk, I got goose bumpsJ I can’t describe what I feel when I’m at fashion shows especially when the designer inspires me. Each garment drew my full attention, I looked at every peace very well so I’m sorry if my photos are not so clear.. I guess I was too busy with looking to the creatures. There was a party after the fashion show with drinks and nice people. I even talked to the designer and took a picture together which I’m going to show you later. I’ve met a few other bloggers and more interesting people. So it was successful and inspirational day. I’m now off to bed because I have school tomorrow early, very early in the morning. Good evening! I have ‘’big’’ news.. not really really big but still good news for me and my blog. I was approached by the Fashion Editor from the magazine: Kure Magazine which is based in LA. What LA? Yess Los Angeles how amazing is that?! As some of you may have already seen on facebook, my article is published in 2 days after writing. It went so fast and I’m very proud to read it back. Secretly I've already read it dozens of times back I think perhaps to prove that it real is haha! However, Kure Magazine is a new magazine with a lot of news about fashion, sport and a lot more! They are going to publish the first edition of the magazine early April. You can take a look on www.kuremagazine.com to read my article on the website. My article for KURE Magazine

I think all fashion gurus around the world are excited about the upcoming fall trends for this year. Like every year, there is always much excitement leading up to what the big designers are going to showcase during Fashion Week, and the elements of their shows are always a big inspiration for the fashion world. I was genuinely surprised with Balenciaga’s sleek Pre-Fall Collection for this year. I fell in love with every inch of symmetry; partly because of my personal preference for colors.

The red and black on white are very graphic, almost three-dimensional. You can find the graffiti print and graphic elements in several major designer collections, for example the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2014 Collection that has the black and white graphic prints as well. There is something earthy, in the most literal sense, about the way the designer mingled the textures of Persian lamb and felted (or boiled) wool with slick silk, leather, and neoprene.

Leather, leather… What would we do without you? And what do you think of fur? Fur combined with leather can give anything an irresistible effect. It was to be expected that these would be the key elements for the coming season. And if you think that leopard print is in the past, you’re very wrong. Where the cat has 9 lives; the leopard’s are innumerable.

Tartan also lives on, and  is continuously showcased at many angles. The cropped bomber jacket, parka, chunky sweater, fur, over knee boots, miniskirt and the skirt wrapped asymmetrically around the waist is what you should definitely have in your closet this fall season. I’m excited to see what the models rock on the runway for Fashion Week this season!

It’s official!! Riccardo Tisci the creative director of Givenchy starts 2014 pretty well. His collaboration with Nike reaches the fashion world.  'When I got the call, it sounded so strong, so perfect for my DNA. It’s a big honor for me, especially because they’re always working with sports people' answered Riccardo. I think many people agree with me that Tisci is a big name in the fashion industry, his designs are always very strong and recognizable. I remember his costume designs for last year’s Ballet Bolero in Paris. And what really inspired me was his visual work for the music video of Jay-Z and Kanye West- N*ggas in Paris. It is possible that you don’t know him so I searched some pictures to share with u.

Good evening! This blog post is all about burgundy, I love this color and I love to wear it these days. Burgundy and army green are definitely my favorite colors these season (black is of course my all-time favorite). Today was a busy day, I went to school, made a few pictures for you guys and then went to the gym for my work out. I think this weather motivates me too, I feel every day the cold weather and working out helps you through it.

I bought the skirt a few weeks ago at Zara, it is a beautiful skirt that is made of 100% leather. I love to combine it with sporty crop sweater but I also like to wear it with a nice it shirt and pretty heels on. I’m now off to bed, tomorrow is a ordinary school day. I have Fashion Class tomorrow. I wish u a nice evening! X

Good evening people! My blog leads his own way so I couldn’t post anything for a while but happily the problem is solved. My blog post about the EMA’s comes now a little bit late cause it’s already a week ago..

Sunday, November 10^th  I went with one of my best friends to the Westcord Fashion Hotel to check in. It is a very nice luxury hotel with loads of fashion inspiration in every angle. We took our suitcase with us and packed al our stuff(outfits, shoes, make-up) out in the beautiful room and then went to the employees from MTV to get all the information we needed. They had a very nice goodie bag for us and we received our tickets for the Red Carpet Show, The Pre-party and ofcourse the EMA’s. We had not that much time left before our ride came to pick us up so we went directly to our hotel room to dress up and make us EMA ready;) I was wearing a beautiful dress form ByDanie it was very glamorous and I had the perfect shoes for it. I like the text on it very much: ‘’Signed Sealed Delivered I am Yours- Stevie Wonder’’ My hair is by: Luxury For Princess. They really are the best in hair clip-ins. I received so much compliments about my hair!

Fashionista Magazine had everything arranged perfectly for me. 16:30 the driver was ready to bring us to the Red Carpet Show we were so excited for it. Finally we got the chance to see all the world stars in real life. Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the Pre Party because of time shortage. But the Red Carpet Show was sooo amazing I already forgot the Pre Party haha. I’ve saw Katy Perry in her perfectly baby blue dress and Miley Cyrus in her very nice over knee boots walking by and don’t forget.. it was so nice to see Louise Roe in real life, I love her TV program ‘Plaine Jane’.  

After seeing all the stars walking by on the Red Carpet we were leaded by the supervisors to the Golden Circle. This is the best place in the cirque between the stage and where the celebrities sit. I had a couple of time eye contact with Katy Perry and Redfoo very funny! I enjoyed the performance from Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry and Bruno mars the most. It was an amazing experience to see everything from a couple of meters from me. After the Ema’s we went to the VIP after party from Robin Thicke in the Sand, yes I saw Robin Thicke for the second time in one evening. Pretty cool! You already have read it in my previous blog post so it’s not a surprise anymore that I’m going to the MTV EMA’s( Europe Music Awards) this Sunday.. I’m sooooo excited about it!! I’ve received the assignments and I have something nice to wear, I’m ready for it! I’m gonna show you my OOTD pictures after the MTV EMA’s so you will have to wait hihi. I’m gonna report all the fab outfits and all the in’s and out’s for you and I sleep in a fashionable and verrry nice hotel in Amsterdam. It is quite special that the EMA’s comes to the Netherlands this year beacause it’s the 20 years anniversary at the same time this will be epic! The MTV EMA’s is a huge music event with the biggest stars of the moment. Millions of fans can vote for their favorite star on mtvema.com. A lot of this artists are coming to Holland!

Jullie hebben al in mijn vorige blog post gelezen over mijn aanwezigheid tijdens de MTV EMA’s 2013 in Amsterdam dus het is geen verassing meer. Ik ben heel erg enthousiast en blij dat ik de kans krijg dankzij ‘’Fashionista Magazine’’ om mijn passie voor muziek en mode eindelijk te bundelen door als reporter naar dit evenement te gaan. Ik ga de mooiste outfits van de Celebs voor jullie vastleggen en jullie kunnen in mijn report alles over de in’s en out’s over die avond lezen. Ik word zondag op tijd in het hotel verwacht waar ik me moet inchecken (jullie horen maandag waar ik overnacht heb) uiteraard heeft ‘’Fashionista Magazine’’ een Fashionable en stijlvol hotel geboekt. Het is een enorme eer en best bijzonder ook dat de EMA’s dit jaar in Nederland in Amsterdam worden gehouden omdat het tegelijkertijd het 20-jarig jubileum is van de MTV EMA’s dus je kunt wel verwachten dat dit event heel groots wordt! Miljoenen fans kunenn op hun favoriete artiest stemmen op mtvema.com. Een hoop van deze artiesten komen a.s. zondag naar Amsterdam om misschien wel hun award op te halen.

Good evening everybody! This is my first blog post this week. I’ve been again very busy with school. This blog post is all about the By Danie Vintage Store in Amsterdam. I was waiting for this store for years and now it finally exist also in Holland. I visited another vintage store (Cavalli e Nastri) a month ago in Milan and I felt in love with all the beautiful pieces they sell and they sell also for men. I was surprised because in Milan they had also a few pieces from already the new collection from Valentino and Christian Louboutin, enough about the store in Milan it is toooo far away. The By Danie Vintage store in Amsterdam is a must to see. They sell a lot of exclusive and very special clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry. Prices vary by product and you can find also clothes which are worn by our Dutch celebrities. The store is cozy and everywhere you look you see fashion. So plan a visit to experience this Vintage store cause I’m sure you’re gonna love it! P.s. You can see my favourite item on the picture!
